Actor Simbu has had a turbulent recent past. He is trying his best to achieve the position for which he has worked so hard. He has delighted his fans by choosing good storylines and delivering hit films one after the other.
At a time when many producers were planning to red card Simbu and send him out of the cinema, Simbu suddenly lost 30 kilos and acted in Easwaran. Since then he has rocked the bandwagon in movies like Kanpura, Vendu Thanithan Kaadu and his latest release Bathu Thala.

It was when Simbu was winning consistently that his father D. Rajender fell ill. He was undergoing treatment in Chennai and later went to the US for further treatment. Even though he is back in India after improving his health, he is not able to be as active in many things as before.
Due to the ill-health of Simbu’s father, DR’s brother Vasu is acting as Simbu’s right-hand man. Simbu consults with him on what to do next and does it himself. They both are so close.

Recently, to celebrate the success of Simbu Batu Thala, he personally met his fans and treated them to Biryani. Simbu served Biryani to the fans with his own hands. It was Vasu who gave all the idea to Simbu to meet the fans in person and have biryani.
Superstars Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay used to meet their fans in person and hold such food parties. Following them, now Simbu is also starting it. Simbu’s next step is to try and become a big superstar. This is entirely due to D. Ar’s brother is also supporting.
