Vadivelu’s film Opportunity with Vijay as the hero proved to be a mega hit.

It is common for actors to miss out on film opportunities. If the actor who heard the story slips, other actors have acted in that film and become a hit, then after some time there will be a sad story in the interviews. But the actors who grabbed the opportunity would take their careers to another level with that hit film.

Thus comedian Vadivelu dismissed the phenomenon of Vijay playing the hero in the mega hit film. Actor Vijay has worked in many successful and some unsuccessful films in his 25 years of cinema career and has emerged as a leader today. Once upon a time there were producers who thought of making a film with him, but today there are producers who depend only on Vijay.

To that extent, Vijay has progressed in his film career and today he is crawling as the only South Indian actor to earn more than 100 crores. Meanwhile, Thullata Manam Thullam released in 1999 starring Vijay. Directed by director Eghil, the film stars Simran, Vaiyapuri, Thamu, Manivannan among others as heroines.

To fulfill Simran’s dream of becoming a collector, who lost her eyes due to her unexpected mistake, Vijay will support Simran’s studies and protect and make her a collector. Seeing that Vijay has lost his eye, Rukmani’s longing love will bring tears to the eyes of all who see her, who become angry and then run around like a little girl listening to Vijay’s Insai singing. One such film was based on the story of the film City Lights directed by Eghill which was released in Hollywood in 1931 starring Charlie Chaplin. As the film is a comedy film, Egil first narrated the story to Vadivelu. Even though Vadivelu liked the story, he rejected the film thinking that his comic opportunity would be lost if he acted as a hero in the film.

After narrating the story to actor Murali, Eghil tried to make the film with the name Rukmani after his consent. But the film’s producer R.P. Chowdhary asked Vijay to act in the film. After that when Vijay worked in the film, the film not only became a hit after 150 days, but also became an important film for Vijay’s career.
