Actress Adah Khan, who started her career with modeling and later rose to fame with ‘Naagin’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, recently did an audio show titled ‘Hello Jaanu’. He shared with IANS his experience of doing this project and how he prepared for it.

Adah plays the character of Vaidehi, a married woman who is facing problems in her life.

Later, she starts working in a call center and things change in her professional and personal life.

‘Hello Jaanu’ is an audio show about four married women who are secretly working in a call center called ‘Hello Jaanu’ and run by Gurpreet Aunty. Actress Supriya Shukla.

“This is the first time I am doing an audio show. I’ve never done anything like this. I was also expressing myself when I was giving my voice and I was also acting and that was fun. For me, it was very different. But I had a great time and definitely learned a lot,” says Adah.

How did he prepare himself for this audio show, He Answer: “We had our creatives when we were giving voiceovers and when we were in the studio, and we had to do a lot of voice modulation. When you’re doing something that people can’t see, you have to do it through your voice. So even the smallest expression or the smallest breath or sigh has to be expressed with your voice, which is very important.

“We had a team that was there listening and improving, which is why, as I said, I learned a lot. It took a lot of hard work because I was playing with my voice a lot. It was a great learning experience for me. And, of course, a lot of hot water with honey and ginger helps me a lot in keeping my voice in check. Even when we were recording for a long time.”

Adah further adds that the audience, especially the women, will connect with the show as it is the story of four female characters and their problems in life.

“There are four women and they have different stories. So, I am sure the audience will connect with it as it talks about issues related to women and complexities of relationships which is the USP of the show.

On her future projects, she says: “I have done a few OTT shows for Hungama Play, which is coming soon. And of course, as of now, I’m really excited for the Audible show, which is my first foray towards Audible. So let’s see how it goes. I am very excited for the response of the audience.”

The audio show is available on Audible.
