Former Rep. Adam KinzingerExcommunicated as a member of the Republican Party January 6th Committeeis joining CNN As a senior political commentator.
Kinzinger served six terms in the US House, representing an Illinois congressional district. In addition to the January 6th Committee, he served on the House Energy and Commerce and Foreign Affairs Committees.
On Twitter, he is commenting on the impasse as House Republicans have been unable to elect a new speaker, which has stalled any work in the House. Kinzinger, commenting on a comment made by Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), wrote, “The world can now see what we had to do for years.” Jester.
Kinzinger served in the Air Force in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in November 2003 and later awarded his pilot wing, and has served in the Air Force’s Special Operations, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command and the Air National Guard . Kinzinger is still a pilot in the Air National Guard with the current rank of lieutenant colonel.
Kinzinger and another GOP member of the January 6 Committee, Liz Cheney, were condemned by the Republican National Committee after they demanded answers as to Donald Trump’s responsibility for the Capitol attack.
