Adipurush organized a pre-release event at the Tirumala Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh. RadianceOm Raut and kriti sanon were present for the event. When Kriti Sanon was leaving the event, filmmaker Om Raut hugged her and said goodbye. This created a ruckus on social media. BJP leader Ramesh Naidu Nagothhu said that such behavior is unacceptable in the temple premises. Later, the priest of Chiklur Balaji temple also lashed out at him. He said that even married couples do not behave like this in the temple premises.
The actress publicly criticized the gesture of Kriti Sanon and Om Raut. He told Aaj Tak that he feels that it is a common problem with today’s actors that they cannot live a character and understand his emotions. She says that Ramayan is just another film for her. Deepika Chikhaliya says that it is very rare that she has felt this character in her soul. She added that Kriti Sanon is an actress of the modern generation and it is common to hug or kiss people in your social circle. Dipika Chikhlia says that Kriti Sanon might not have seen herself as Goddess Sita. It is a matter of sentiment, he said. He said that he has lived the role of Maa Sita and considered it just a role. He added that as the film gets completed, the actor smoothly moves from one role to another. He said that such feelings don’t matter once the film is over.
Dipika Chikhaliya said that no one had the guts to call her by her name. He said that when she would be dressed as mother Sita, people would come and touch her feet. She said that the times were different. Deepika said that people actually considered her to be the human manifestation of the revered figure. She said she couldn’t hug anyone, let alone a kiss. He added that after the release of Adipurush, Kriti Sanon and Prabhas would get busy with new projects and forget the character. She said that after the release of Ramayana she was treated like a literal goddess who was living on this earth. He said that such love and devotion inspired him to have a lot of respect for the sentiments of the people.
Adipurush is hitting the theaters on 16th July. The film is made in a budget of over Rs 500 crore. It has collected a major chunk of the amount through digital and TV rights. Dipika Chikhaliya played the role of Sita. Ramanand SagarRamayana.
