Adipurush: Prabhas, Kriti Sanon film overwhelms distributors, Dil Raju and more back off from buying the movie | Bollywood Life

Radiance, critic i say And Saif Ali Khan is coming to entertain the audience with Adipurush on 16th June. There is a lot of excitement for the Om Raut film despite the poor VFX and lackluster second trailer of the film. The film is trying to earn maximum from Hindi and Telugu belts. Prabhas is one of the top stars of Tollywood, and there is a huge demand for each of his films. As per some trade sites, it is being said that the Telugu version is in trouble as top distributors are not willing to buy the film at exorbitant rates. It seems that People Media Factory (PMF) has bought the bulk Telugu rights of the film for Rs 170 crore. A few days back, reports came in that famous Telugu producer-distributor Dil Raju backed out of buying the distribution rights as PMF wanted a huge amount for Nizam and Uttarakhand regions. The track from Tollywood states that People Media Factory is not able to recover Rs 50 crore as top distributors are not keen to buy the film. He has said that the company is demanding such a huge amount which does not seem possible. PMF is facing trouble as they are yet to recover Rs 50 crore of the Rs 170 crore spent on the film. Maitri Movie Makers has bought the rights of Nizam for Rs 50 crore. Six territories of Andhra Pradesh have been sold to others for a total of Rs 50 crore. The seeded rights have been bought for Rs 17.5 crore. Due to this the production company has incurred a loss of Rs 52.5 crore. Prabhas’ last film Radhe Shyam flopped badly. Other films like Acharya and Liger also brought huge losses for the distributors. Not surprising to see that they are taking it easy.

But the surprising thing is that Prabhas’s film does not have distributors. The Rebel star has a huge fan following across India. The Telugu market is their biggest. The film is expected to get a bang opening in the North. Experts estimate that it will earn more than 100 crores in the first weekend itself.
