In a shocking turn of events, bahubali Star Anushka ShettyGunranjan Shetty’s brother has received death threats. The members of Jayakarnatak Janpad Vedike, run by Gunranjan Shetty, have filed a petition to Home Minister Araga Gyanendra on Sunday, seeking protection and legal action.
The members allege that friend-turned-enemies Manvit Rai and Rakesh Malli have threatened to kill them. Gunaranjan Shetty, Manavit Rai and Rakesh Malli worked for reformed don Muttappa Rai, after whose death they parted ways.
Gunranjan was identified with people close to the late don Muttappa Rai. He has become popular in Mangaluru and Bangalore. It is alleged that the antagonist Manavit Rai, who is also a relative of Muttappa Rai, and Rakesh Malli are planning to kill Gunaranjan Shetty.
The members who petitioned the Home Minister demanded the arrest of the accused. Manvit Rai, on the other hand, has clarified that he is abroad and does not understand why these allegations have been leveled against him. He claimed that no threats were being made to anyone, as well as there was no criminal case against him.
However, police sources said that the police had questioned Rakesh Malli in this regard. Further investigation is going on.
Anushka was once a sought-after actress. In recent times, it seems that the heroine has become picky about roles and has not acted in any films. It has been a long time since the news about a possible collaboration of Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty surfaced. It is reported that the regular shooting of this yet to be started film will start soon while the post-production work is going on. Naveen Polishetty, who was last seen in ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, will play a lead role in the film alongside Anushka. The film is supposed to be his comeback, and hence the anticipation has doubled.
