Director Apoorva Lakhia is all set to bring to the silver screen a brave story of the Indian Army. The director has acquired the rights of a chapter from the book titled ‘India’s Most Fearless – 3’ to be adapted into a film. The story is based on the events that took place between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan area on June 14, 2020, when 200 Indian soldiers bravely defended their territory against a well-trained force of 1200 Chinese Liberation Army soldiers.

The book is authored by veteran journalist Shiv Aroor, Senior Executive Editor, India Today TV and Rahul Singh, Senior Editor, Hindustan Times. Both these authors are known for their journalism of military affairs. The story and screenplay will be adapted for the film by Suresh Nair in collaboration with Chintan Gandhi and Chintan Shah, who will also write the dialogues.
When asked about their book being made into a film, both Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh shared a joint statement saying, “The Galwan incident is one in which the Indian Army suffered terrible losses, but they defeated a treacherous adversary.” It also inflicted an unforgettable wound. We are delighted that our account of the incident – the only direct account of what really happened and the incredible human side of the battle – is now in the very capable hands of Apoorva Lakhia for a film who we know will be worth it. who fought, fell and lived to tell.”
Apoorva Lakhia said, “It is a matter of great honor for me that both Shiv and Rahul have trusted me for their book. I am excited to bring the account of our brave Indian soldiers who fought in freezing temperatures. Fought with fists, sticks and stones to defend themselves and against overwhelming odds lay down their lives for their motherland in return.”
