The film based on the lives of Devika Rani and Himanshu Rai has been in the news for a while now and will go on floors in the near future.
The very beautiful and talented Devika Rani was given the title of ‘First Lady of Indian Cinema’ by her fans; Himanshu Rai, on the other hand, was one of the pioneers of Indian cinema, an actor par excellence, a star and an astute businessman.
In 1934, the two set up Bombay TalkiesIndia’s first professional film studio that dominated cinema in India for a decade.
Born with an innate passion for storytelling, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari began her journey as a filmmaker, armed with the determination to create meaningful and authentic cinema. His distinctive style is a seamless blend of subtle storytelling, relatable characters and a keen eye for detail, making his films a testament to his extraordinary craft.
Now she brings this expertise to the magnum opus, which is said to be her most challenging project to date.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has joined hands with a major Indian film studio for this project, which is being planned extensively. It is currently in the scripting stage.
