BIg B mourns Raju’s loss; recalls how the comedian had opened eyes when his voice recording was played

Famous comedian Raju Srivastava breathed his last on Wednesday, 21st September after fighting the battle of life for 43 days. He died at AIIMS, where he was admitted to the hospital on August 9 and put on a ventilator after suffering a cardiac arrest during a workout at a gym in South Delhi. As the entire nation mourns his loss, Amitabh Bachchan It is learned that Raju had slightly opened his eyes while in a coma, when the recording of his voice was playing in his ears. According to earlier reports, Big B had sent a voice note to Raju’s family and it was run to bring the comedian back from coma. “Just Raju. Rise up Raju, and keep teaching us all to laugh,” was the message the megastar sent. Big B was deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Raju. He expressed his feelings, saying, “Another colleague, friend, and a creative artist leaves us. Sudden illness and[he]is gone prematurely, before his creativity time is up. Referring to the voice recording, Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “He was advised to send a voice to wake up to his condition. I did and he played it in his ears for him in his kingdom. Raju Srivastava was cremated on 22 September at Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi. His son Ayushmann performed the last rites as per Hindu rituals. Veteran poet-comedian Surendra Sharma, Ashok Chakradhar and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkarifellow comedians and friends such as Sunil Pal And Ehsan Qureshi attended the funeral. The late comedian is survived by his wife Shikha and their children Antara and Ayushmann.
