Why is Boycott Brahmastra trending?

Many people on social media are demanding boycott of the film. The trend gained momentum after Alia Bhatt’s comment on nepotism and online trolling. She said that she cannot control what people think and cannot defend herself. In an interview with Mid-Day, the actress was quoted as saying, “I can’t defend myself verbally. And if you don’t like me, don’t look at me. I can’t help it.” This is something that I can do. People have nothing to say. Hopefully, I will prove to them with my films that I really deserve the space that I occupy.” However, many called him arrogant for making this remark and started calling for boycott of the film.
