The Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, released a week ago, and since then there is no stopping the film. In fact, Brahmastra’s business saw decent growth in its first week after opening on a good note, and even its second weekend saw business growth. In the overseas markets as well, Brahmastra is doing well to woo the audience and emerge as a leader at the box office window.
In this box office report, we look at the performance of Brahmastra in the overseas market of UK and Ireland, while comparing it to the earlier releases Laal Singh Chaddha and Gangubai Kathiawadi. While Brahmastra which collected £875,800 did not surprisingly outperform Alia Bhatt’s previous release Gangubai Kathiawadi, which collected £712,125, it also managed to beat the Aamir Khan starrer. In fact, Bhramstra has managed to outshine Lal Singh Chaddha, who collected £866,515 on its theatrical performance in this market.
If that wasn’t enough, considering the fact that Brahmastra will continue its second week at the box office as well, it is likely to see further growth in the collections, leaving behind Laal Singh Chaddha. In fact, Brahmastra which has already surpassed both these money-spinners has emerged as the highest box office grosser of 2022 in the overseas market of UK and Ireland.
