Desus Nice Fills In On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Jokes About Being Fired By Showtime & Getting To Say “Whatever The F**k” He Wanted On Cable

Des Nice Late Night returned for the first time since his Showtime series ended.

The comedian, otherwise known as Daniel Baker, appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Desus and Mero was ending after four seasons.

Dessus didn’t spend too much time talking about his former show during his monologue, though it was clear that he still got used to hosting on his own rather than as part of a double act.

He made fun of the difference between broadcast TV and premium cable. “Listen, hosting a show on network TV is weird because I was on Showtime for the last four years, where they pretty much let you say what you want. Guillermo, can I f**k whatever on ABC? I want to say that?

Kimmel’s sidekick joked, “I don’t think so, but you ain’t coming back tomorrow so who gives s**k.”

Dessus also got a little more political than him Desus and Mero, spending more time talking about Donald Trump’s issues with the FBI. He scoffed at Trump’s claim to have the document back in his golf club. “When you’re fired from the office, you don’t get to take the Xerox machine home with you. When I got fired from Showtime, they wouldn’t let me bring the cast of the movie home shameless,” They said.
