Review by: Russell D’Silva
If Bollywood is the master at churning out our high-quality cinema, which has been a huge hit even in a particular genre, it has to be thrillers. And there has also been a churn between the great thrillers of the Hindi film industry, some like Kaun and Ittefaq (1969 originals) standing out for how they evoke the claustrophobic environment that adds to the tension in any suspense-filled plot. Is.
Dhoka Round D Corner, directed by Kookie Gulati, and starring Khushali Kumar, R Madhavan, Darshan Kumar and Aparshakti Khurana, tries to do something similar with an undercurrent of sexuality. Does it take its place, even in that temple? Well, it almost happens, and it is as much a pleasant surprise that one would have expected, as there has been a dearth of really good Bollywood movies since Andhadhun. So, are you excited about what to watch or what to watch this week and wondering if Cheat Round D Corner is worth your time? Scroll Down for My Complete Cheat Round D Corner Movie Review…
what is it about
The mask of the happy marriage of Sanchi (Khushali Kumar) and Sinha (R. Madhavan) is shattered when terrorist Gul (Aparshakti Khurana) enters their apartment and takes Sanchi hostage. The more Inspector Malik (Darshan Kumar) tries to sort out the situation, the more he and the audience are drawn to differing perspectives from what actually unfolds.

Full credit to Kookie Gulati and Neeraj Singh for the many twists and turns are woven into their screenplay and how none of them seep into over-the-top territory, keeping you on your toes till the very end. More credit is given to Kookie Gulati for getting the best out of this screenplay – a story balanced on a tightrope with a narrative from multiple perspectives can so easily fall off the tail, but she keeps it in a taut, addictive way. Knits in ride. Of course, this would not have been possible with some of the best performances, Khushali Kumar led, walking a good path between sensual, vulnerable and devious, while Madhavan and Darshan Kumar supported her well in their short screentime. Amit Roy’s camerawork, Dharmendra Sharma’s editing and Amar Mohile’s background score also add to the suspenseful atmosphere well.
what is not
The biggest disappointment is Aparshakti Khurana, who tries hard but could not play his part. In addition, the production prices could have been much better as they derail all the good work of other departments to a great extent. Some sub-plots don’t work as well and only succeed in disrupting the motion.
There is little to complain about, Dhoka Round D Corner is a taut, edgy, claustrophobic Bollywood thriller, done well after ages, with twists that keep you guessing and the time to pack. perform for. Definitely a fascinating watch for thriller lovers. I’m going with 3.5 out of 5 stars.
