Specific: I! has been hit with layoffs, the result of a reorg unveiled exclusively by Deadline Back in August.

A source inside the company said on Friday the elimination of a “small number” of jobs on the digital side is an “expected part of the alignment process.” The number of people affected by the cuts is unclear.

In August, Deadline reported that NBCUniversal Cable networks plan to restructure by canceling shows like daily pop And nightly pop, Tracey Wilson, EVP Syndication Studios and E! News on NBCUniversal.

“I know change can be challenging, but I’m really excited about the future of these brands that we’re going to build together,” Wilson said in a note to employees.

As part of the reorganization, the company created a centralized umbrella brand, Terrace Studios, which would include Access and E! News Brand. The leadership team was reshuffled, as well: Tammy Filler, EVP and editor-in-chief overseeing digital E! news organization and digital originals, remain in their roles, while Jen Levin now leads creative and Jamie Blinn oversees E! Online Editorial. Ed Zarkoff now oversees the production side of the business as SVP News Operations. Vinny Fusco and Kristin Killakey continue to run all previously run production operations.
