Euphoria Fame Hunter Schafer Roped In For This Character In The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes

Euphoria star Hunter Schaefer has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

According to ‘Variety’, she will be seen opposite Tom Blyth and Rachel Ziegler In an effort to recapture that old Panem magic of the studio.

Hunter Schaefer will play Tigris Snow, the cousin and confidante of Coriolanus Snow (Blyth), who, hunger games Fans know, will one day mature into the despotic ruler of the dystopian world of books and movies, a leader who has just a dollop of psychopath to go along with his benign demeanor.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes debuts in theaters worldwide on November 17, 2023. It follows the Snow family, who have fallen from grace in the post-war Capitol. With the 10th Annual Hunger Games fast approaching, Snow has Lucy Gray Baird (Ziegler) appointed as the mentor, a tribute to a girl from poor District 12.

From there, things turn gladiatorial and, hopefully Lionsgate, so entertaining that its most successful franchise will be relaunched to the effect of a sequel.

According to Variety, the prequel will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who also directed “Catching Fire”, “Mockingjay Part One” and “Mockingjay Part Two” of the franchise.

In addition to his work on Euphoria, Hunter Schaefer co-wrote and co-executive produced a special episode for the series.

Hunter Schaefer is currently producing on director Tillman Singer’s upcoming horror feature “Cuckoo”.
