Karan Vyas, the writer of Scam 1992, has worked in both regional and Hindi cinema. She had previously worked with actor Prateek Gandhi in the 2015 Gujarati film wrong side raju Post which they collaborated again for the 2020 drama series Scam 1992 which received rave reviews. The two will again work in Scam 2 as well as a film based on Mahatma Gandhi, which will be directed by Hansal Mehta.

in exclusive interview with bollywood ruckusKaran Vyas shared his experience of working with Prateek Gandhi. He said, “Wonderful, mind blowing! I have known Prateik since wrong side raju Like from 2015 when we auditioned him. I was also the associate director on that particular project and the second unit director on that project. Since then I knew Prateek. After that I have done another Gujarati film with him. So by the time I was approached for Scam 1992, I already knew. So the funny thing is that even before I had joined as a dialogue writer, Prateik was cast as Harshad Mehta. So he was actually the first person before me to be a part of Scam 1992.
He further added, “When I came to know that he is playing the character, it really helped me. Because when I was writing the dialogue, I could visualize it, I could understand exactly how it would play out on screen because I have seen a lot of their work on sets and offsets. I’ve seen him do a lot of theatre, so it’s always great working with Prateik.”
Talking about his next project, Karan said, “I am also writing a show based on Mahatma Gandhi, which will again be directed by Hansal Mehta sir. And Prateek Mohandas will be playing the role of Karamchand Gandhi. So I am enjoying the process of writing dialogues for him at this special moment as well. And sometimes I call him and whatever thoughts I have, I share with him. Another thing is that Prateik has been playing the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the play Mohan No Masala for years. So, he understands MK Gandhi much better than me. So yeah, that’s where I love working with Prateek Gandhi.
Prateek Gandhi recently played a cameo in Hansal Mehta’s Netflix series Scoop for a Fleeting Shot. He is currently preparing for Scam 2.
