Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Farzi is all set to have a digital premiere next month. The farce revolves around a conman who prints counterfeit currency and an office tasked with stopping his threats. Ahead of its release, the makers Raj and DK revealed an interesting scoop about their show. The fake creators revealed that they came up with the idea of demonetisation even before it was announced in 2016.
It sounds interesting! Well, the makers had written a fake plot related to demonetisation in 2016. He had written the script even before it was announced in the country. According to his initial story, the cop gets the idea that the only way to stop currency counterfeiting is to demonetise the existing 500 rupee notes. Then they did not know what demonetisation meant and used the word invalid. To his surprise his idea became real.
This script was written for a film in 2016, before demonetisation. DK recalled that in fact after the note invalidation incident he got calls from people who had read the original script. Raj and DK thought of it and it already happened. However, after demonetisation, the makers of Farji had to change the initial plot of their script. Talking about it, DK said that it is an interesting thing that he wrote something and thought, then in real life it happened after he had written it.
Farzi is a crime thriller drama shahid kapoor And Vijay Sethupathi are in lead roles and are making their debut in the digital space. The web series is produced by the makers of popular Manoj Bajpayee show ‘The Family Man’. Episodic series also stars KK Menon and Rashi Khanna. Farzi will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 10 February 2023.
