Fawad Khan, who became a household name in the country with Pakistani dramas like Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2013), life partner and later with Hindi films like Kapoor & Sons and oh heart is difficult, credited Zindagi for being an “inclusive” platform for artists. “I feel that life is making bold and brave decisions when it comes to storytelling. According to the producers, the series blends together “magical realism and supernatural fantasy within a family reunion setting”, dealing with themes of love, loss and reconciliation.

“Fawad plays a single parent – ​​charming but full of guilt for what he has lost. With his son, he tries in every way to be the father who was and was not his own father. Sanam plays the central woman in the series. Supernatural mystery, she takes it upon herself to fix it, and make everyone around her whole,” the makers’ note read.

Sanam Saeed said that she is thrilled to collaborate with Abbasi after the duo’s acclaimed Cake in 2018. “This new project begins on an imaginary journey with some stunning performances by a very carefully chosen cast. The series has gone on floors, a major part of it being shot in the picturesque Hunza Valley, Pakistan. The first TV channel Zindagi is now available on the streaming platform ZEE5.
