    Hope Davis, Michael Gandolfini, Liza Koshy Among Those Rounding Out Studiocanal and New Yorker Studios’ ‘Cat Person’

    Unique: Asha Davis, Michael Gandolfini, Liza Koshy, Fred Melamed, Isaac Powell, Isabella Rossellini and Donald Ellis Watkins join the cast of Susannah Fogel’s psychological thriller, cat person For Studiocanal and New Yorker Studios. He will co-star with previously announced cast members Nicholas Braun, Emilia Jones and Geraldine Viswanathan. Production starts today.

    The picture is based on a short story by Kristen Roupenian, which was published in The New Yorker in 2017, was acclaimed worldwide and was the most downloaded fiction of the year published in The New Yorker and of 2017. It was one of the most widely read pieces. The story follows the brief relationship between Margot (Jones), a twenty-year-old college student, and Robert (Braun), an older man who works regularly at the movie theater where Margot works.

    Susanna Fogel, who wrote the script with Michelle Ashford, will direct. It will be produced by Jeremy Steckler and Helen Estabrook of New Yorker Studios. Fogel, Ashford, Daniel Hank and Gino Falsetto will executive produce. Studiocanal is fully financing and managing the worldwide sales.

    Davis is represented by UTA and Kiperman Management. Watkins is represented by UTA and Robin Bluestone Management. Gandolfini is represented by WME. Koshy is represented by CAA and Carter Media Group. Melamed is represented by A3 Artists Agency and Heaven Entertainment.
