Takeshi’s Palace became a household name since it aired in India on the Pogo channel. Not only children, adults also had a lot of fun watching Japanese game shows. It was recently announced that the show is all set to make a comeback on Amazon Prime Video and since then people also want Jaaved Jaffrey back as a commentator in Hindi. Although the show originally aired in Japan between 1986 and 1990, it became a cult television hit around the world after all these years. In India, the game show aired in 2005, in addition to Javed, the show was reportedly also briefly voiced by Indian comedians Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal, Naveen Prabhakar and Ehsan Qureshi.
Amazon Prime Video Recently Announced They Will Reboot Takeshi’s Fortress In more than 240 markets by 2023. Earlier Javed Jaffrey made everyone curious with his tweet, which read, “Hmmmm what a khayal”. Now in an interview with The Indian Express, the Dhamaal actor did not confirm his involvement with the show but claimed that he would love to be a part of it.
Javed Jaffrey “I want to come back and do it again. I love that show. It has a great connect with the people,” he said, adding, “Kisne Kya Jeeta, Juz Hi Nahi Aaj Tak.”
He continues, “A lot of people, an entire generation grew up in Takeshi’s palace. They want me to do this show. There’s a relationship with the show. I’d love to do it.”
Javed Jaffrey also recalls when people meet him and says he grew up watching Boogie Woogie or Takeshi’s Castle, “When I meet people, they thank me for bringing that show up. They tell me that I am a part of their childhood, which is a huge compliment to me. It is a privilege that I was a part of so many people’s childhoods.”
