Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez introduces her baby, Emme, using gender-neutral pronouns during a public event.

Lopez, one of the twins, joined Emme, one of the twins she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, for a performance at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala, which raised $3.6 million for local causes .

Jennifer Lopez introduced teens to the pronouns “give/give” before singing a cover for Christina Perry’s “A Thousand Years,” reports

“The last time we performed together was in such a big stadium and I tell them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t. So it’s a very special occasion,” the star told Emme. That said, referring to a Super Bowl halftime performance that also brought Emmy to the stage in 2020.

Jennifer Lopez, 52, quipped about Emme: “They’re so busy. Booked. And pricey! It cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every penny because they’re all my money.” Time’s favorite couple mates. So if you’ll indulge me.”

In a video that went viral, the 14-year-old used a rainbow-colored microphone during the performance.

Emme further joined Jennifer Lopez for a poem from Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” and the introduction of her own hit “Let’s Get Loud.”

Many quickly assumed how “they” identified Amy and fans liked that JLo respected Emme’s choice of pronouns. “How does ‘they’ identify Emme?”

“It was Jennifer Lopez sharing that information. It’s beautiful to see her supporting her child,” one commented on the duo’s performance.

Another quipped: “Awww respects JLo pronouns.”

A third person, who is also a mom, dubbed Jennifer Lopez a “mom target” and tweeted: “I need to work on saying this to my baby so easily. #momgoal #lovemythey.”
