Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has been behind many hits, says he is the biggest critic of his work and is never satisfied.
He shares: “I am never satisfied with my work and often others tell me it was good but I think I could have done better. I am my own worst critic”
Dharma Productions boss Karan Johar is back after a hiatus of five years as a judge on the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’. Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi. During the show launch, he shared with IANS what the new season has in store for the viewers.
Karan Johar says: “It was a reality show that I did in 2012. I judged it for five years. Now, it is coming after five years and the makers have approached me saying that there is a demand to bring the show back. So, Madhuri and I came together and this time the show has a new twist as Nora is there and it is very exciting. On the first day when I met Madhuri on the sets, it was like a reunion.”
Karan Johar also talked about what the audience is going to see new in the show this season.
“The kind of talent this time around was never there last season,” he added. “They’re all very dressed up and all 12 contestants look like trained dancers and before ‘there used to be a journey’Glimpse’ From non-dancer to dancer, but now except Zoravar (Gurgaon-based restaurant owner Kalra), who is a non-dancer, all are trained dancers from day one,” said Karan Johar
He added: “So, from the new acts and the choreography to the quality of the performances, there’s a lot going on this season.”
The producer-director also shared the parameters by which he judges talent. “There are three factors to me – the efficiency in your performance, the energy and the way you make others feel with your dance and the concept of the whole performance, I see all of these in the talent I see,” he concluded.
‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’ will premiere on September 3 on Colors.
