The last episode of 2021 of The Tonight Show was on December 17. It returns tonight with guests including Anthony Anderson and Adam Devine, as well as musical guest Carly Peace.

Fallon said, “I tested positive for Covid on the first day of our vacation. I was vaccinated and extended so that I was fortunate enough to have only mild symptoms.”

He thanked the doctors and nurses who “work round the clock to get everyone waxed,” and he also thanked NBC for taking testing protocol seriously and “What’ chu talkin’ a picture of yourself in Willis” posted?” lonely room.

The news comes as the spread of the Omicron version of Covid-19 hospitalized in New York reached its highest level since last January.
