On Saturday, Kajol wrote on Twitter, “I was just making a point about education and its importance. My intention was not to demean any political leader, we have some great leaders who are taking the country on the right path.

During an interview with The Quint, Kajol expressed her belief that having knowledgeable and well-educated leaders is important for the progress and development of a country. He had said, “Change is slow, especially in a country like India. It’s very, very slow. Because we are steeped in our traditions and steeped in our thought processes and of course it has to do with education.” Kajol further said, “You have political leaders who do not have a background in the educational system. I’m sorry, but I’m going to go out and say it. I am being ruled by leaders, a lot of them who don’t have that point of view I think education gives you at least a different point of view.

Currently, Kajol is receiving appreciation for her role in the latest release Lust Stories 2 on Netflix. In the compilation, she appeared in Amit Sharma’s short film opposite Kumud Mishra. Rest three short films were directed by Konkona Sensharma, R Balki and Sujoy Ghosh. Additionally, Kajol is starring in the show The Trial alongside Jisshu Sengupta, Sheeba Chadha and Kubbra Sait. The Trial is the Hindi adaptation of The Good Wife, an American political-legal drama. This series will start streaming on OTT platform from 14th July.
