After the massive success of Yash starrer KGF, Kantara uplifted the Kannada film industry in Indian cinema. The film was a huge success across India receiving love and appreciation from the audience. The makers announced the sequel while celebrating the completion of 100 days of the film. The news of Kantara 2 got the fans excited and since then they have been eagerly waiting for it. As per the latest reports, Kantara 2 is finally on its way and fans can’t wait to get over it soon. The latest update regarding the making of the sequel is that the script has been finalised. A source close to the development said that the actor and the director have finalized the script of Kantara 2. Though no official announcement has been made from the makers, but the source informs that it will be confirmed soon. The script work was started in March and the team has now given the final touches. Reportedly, producer Vijay Kiragandur and actor-director Rishab Shetty are excited about Kantara 2. As per the source, the team will start rolling soon but no location has been finalized yet. Despite the rain, Rishabh is scouting for locations and if all goes well, the film will go on floors soon. There are theories about the story of Chapter 2. People wonder if they will continue the story, but previous reports also suggest that the makers plan to explore the origin and will present Part 2 as a prequel. Kantara is directed by Rishab Shetty who also plays the lead role. It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of his production company Humbel Films, which also produced the KGF series.
