Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recalled shooting a milestone film ‘Sholay’ and how the film’s director Ramesh Sippy shot in the Valley of Flowers instead of choosing a more suitable desert for a dacoit based film. He also talked about getting injured on the sets of the film ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 14’.
While chatting with ‘KBC 24’ contestant Dipesh Jain, Big B talks about his past and shooting for ‘Sholay’ which was a blockbuster movie released in 1975, starring Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Amjad Khan had acted.
Be it action sequences, Gabbar’s dialogues, played by Amjad Khan and Thakur (played by late actor Sanjeev Kumar or Hema Malini as Basanti, or Jai and Veeru’s friendship, played by Big B and DharmendraEvery element of the film made it an iconic creation.
Amitabh Bachchan revealed the action sequences shot during the film and injuries on the sets and many other aspects of the film.
He said that he is still walking with a limp due to his injuries in the past. According to him, actors no longer get injured because of the new safety precautions, because contractually, the producer ensures that no dangerous stunts are performed by the actors.
Amitabh Bachchan also talked about taking the help of foreign stunt directors for the first time for the film.
Amitabh Bachchan Said: “In the earlier days, people were not aware of these safety precautions, and actors would get injured almost every time they were shooting.”
Furthermore, he added that there are still many actors who do their own stunts like Akshay Kumar, adding: “He is a passionate actor, he will jump from one building to another or set himself on fire.”
