Hyderabad-based Techno Paints has announced the appointment of top Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu as its brand ambassador. The company on Wednesday announced that he will be the company’s brand ambassador for a period of two years.
“The image of Prince Mahesh Babu as a youth icon will help our company to expand. We are extremely confident of establishing ourselves in the Indian retail paint market,” said Akuri Srinivasa Reddy, Founder, Fortune Group, owner of Techno Paints brand .
“For the past 22 years, we have been successful in offering quality paints and quality painting services in the business to business (B2B) segment. We have implemented over 1,000 projects in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and rest of the country.
The company has a 25 per cent market share in the Rs 12,000-crore paint industry in the Telugu states. We will achieve this target in 12-18 months. Our products will be available for sale across 5,000 touch points. We are already making 2,000 colors of paint. We recently added 1,000 more sheds. We started Color Bank to instantly supply customers with whatever color they want. Only multinational companies are providing this facility. We have recently introduced products such as Wood Adhesive, Tile Primer, Wood Polish, Water Proofing Compound.
Techno Paints has set up 25 depots to provide timely supply of paints. “We have set up a 50,000 sq ft central storage facility at Patancheru. At present we have a manufacturing capacity of one lakh metric tonnes. Our new plants at Palnadu and Visakhapatnam Andhra Pradesh And production will start next year in Odisha as well. With this our capacity will increase to 2.5 lakh metric tonnes.
Recently, Techno Paints has received a major project from the Government of Telangana. Under this, the company took up the painting work of 26,065 schools under the Mana Oru-Mana Bari and Mana Basti-Mana Bari projects. company that Mahesh Babu Will support over 80 recently completed real estate projects in the last financial year and 140 projects in hand now. It has 250 employees and around 4,000 painters are working for it directly or indirectly.
