Reddits users react to Mira Rajput’s Barbie review

Soon after Mira Rajput’s comment, social media users started trolling the actor’s wife for making unnecessary comparisons between Hollywood and Bollywood. Defending Barbie’s dance number, a Reddit user wrote, “I mean I don’t think anyone can compare a Bollywood dance to a Hollywood dance? It’s like being pissed off for no reason. Plus, this dance sequence was actually super cute. You don’t always need complicated dance steps… It’s all about having fun when they were in this song.”

“Just let her be. What does she get so much attention?? She just married a celebrity. It’s no big deal. She’s confused. I agree. But her opinion doesn’t matter,” criticized another user. “What are her qualifications? Being someone’s wife?” asked a third Redditor sarcastically.

Barbie and Oppenheimer

Barbie releases in theaters on July 21 alongside Christopher Nolan’s war drama Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer is based on the story of Robert J. Oppenheimer, known as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb”. Both films became the latest talk in the town, leading to meme fests and the trend of “Barbenheimer” on social media. While Oppenheimer saw record-breaking success in India, Barbie fared better at the US box office, beating its rival Oppenheimer.
