Actor Nakul Roshan Sahdev talks about his role in the upcoming web series “Chameleon”, saying it is a “genre-breaker” and his character is “quite amusing”.
ALT Balaji’s new series is a seven-episode drama that revolves around love and betrayal. The narrative explores the limits of human indecisiveness through characters who like to deceive and charm and kill when they need to achieve what they desire.
‘Chameleon’ revolves around the murder investigation of a very bad relationship, which gets more complicated as the case progresses.
Talking about the show and his character, Nakul Roshan Sahdev said, “All of us are chameleons in some way or the other even on a normal level. When we are with friends, partners, in-office or boss, we always have a front but Display, the stakes are really high for the characters, as they are caught in a murder mystery and everyone is just trying to save themselves. NS Display ‘Chameleon’ is about pure love and passion, which is the premise of the show.”
Elaborating further on his character, Nakul Roshan Sahdev said, “I am playing the role of Ranbir, who is quite transparent and straightforward, but the society does not accept him. I think society likes you if a layer is his true self, but my character is extremely transparent, he is like ‘accept me or reject me’. I have seen characters like Ranbir in personal life and on-screen, but if you see him in the world of ‘Chameleon’, I have a genre-breaker, he is quite entertaining.”
Filled with love, lust, revenge and passion, ‘Chameleon’ brings together two opposite worlds and their characters in a thrilling game of hide and seek.
The series is directed by Santosh Shetty, and also stars Tania Kalra, Trupti Khamkar, Ashmita Jaggi, Samar Varmani, Alexander Ilic, Shahwar Ali and Ashish Tyagi.
The series will be streamed on Alt Balaji from October 27.
