Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the massively successful LOTR Peter Jackson film trilogy, talks about what the new movies could be an interview with gq,
“I’m thrilled and I’m excited. I hope it’s good,” Wood told gq, “I’m surprised – I don’t know why I’m surprised, because there will definitely be more movies.”

I hope that whenever they hire a screenwriter and a filmmaker, it has the same driving factor at its core – that it be with respect for Tolkien’s material and an enthusiasm to explore it.
