Buckley will be the fiery Rose Gooding, who has little in common with the holy Edith Swan (Coleman) other than being a neighbor in the 1920s seaside town of Littlehampton. One day, Edith and others in town begin receiving slanderous letters written with vulgar language as vulgar, and the finger of suspicion immediately falls on Rose.
