After the trailer was digitally unveiled by Vijay Deverakonda, the producer of Ilaiyaraaja’s multilingual musical music school The trailer was launched in Mumbai in the presence of the cast and crew. Attended by director and producer Paparao Biyala, Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi, Gracy Goswami, and Oju Barua among others, the trailer launch event received a good response from the audience.

Starring Shriya Saran and Sharman Joshi as music and dance teachers respectively, the trailer showed the duo attempting to put together ‘The Sound of Music’, a musical drama with a young cast including Gracy Goswami and Ozu Baruah Has gone. Depicting the struggle of a music and drama teacher to promote performing arts for children amid immense academic pressure from parents, teachers and society, the trailer takes the viewers on a musical journey. Filled with drama, humour, emotions and music, the trailer showcases glimpses of the picturesque locales of Goa.

Sangeet Vidyalaya is a musical characterization of the sensitive and prevalent concern of the academic pressure young students are subjected to by society, parents and teachers. Three of the film’s eleven songs have been recreated from The Sound of Music, which have been beautifully woven into the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

The makers of the film have already released three songs of the film- ‘Go on reading child,’ ‘Your eyes,’ And ‘Hiccups.’ Directed and produced by IAS officer-turned-filmmaker Paparao Biyala, the musical film employs an excellent team of technicians.

The grand look of the film has been captured by ace cinematographer Kiran Deohans. The cast includes Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi and Prakash Raj in lead roles besides debutants Oju Baruah and Gracy Goswami in pivotal roles. Other cast includes Benjamin Geelani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambegaonkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Verma, Srikanth Iyengar, Waqar Sheikh, Fanny and many more child actors.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multilingual film has been shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It will be released in Hindi-Tamil by PVR and in Telugu by Dil Raju on May 12, 2023.
