Pathaan box office: Shah Rukh Khan beats Aamir Khan at his own game; breaks his records of 14 years

Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan is in the race to break records. It has become the most successful Hindi film in Bollywood and the industry couldn’t be more grateful to King Khan for reviving Bollywood amidst South taking over the Hindi film industry. And now Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan has broken this 14 year old record of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Aamir who has been the box office king over the years but with the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha, he has taken the much needed break that he deserves. While his fans are hoping that he will make a comeback with a bang.

Aamir Khan has been the undisputed king when it comes to box office runs. With films like Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK and Dangal, Aamir Khan has been at the top of the box office for the last 14 years and is undefeated. Aamir Khan has made and broken his own records time and again and finally this time someone else has broken his record. When Ghajini released in 2008, we had no idea that Aamir Khan would beat his numbers and break his records with the timeless 3 Idiots. At this point in early 2010, audiences had started anticipating Aamir Khan breaking records.

Whereas Shahrukh Khan has been successful in defeating Aamir KhanDangal has overtaken Aamir Khan to become the biggest blockbuster in India, grossing around 387 crores and the actor’s worldwide collections so far stand at 849 crores.
