Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathan is in the eye of the storm. Social media is abuzz with how Bajrang Dal members ransacked a cinema hall in Karnavati area of Ahmedabad and tore movie posters. Even the international media is reporting this news. Around 30 people from a right-wing Hindu group barged into the hall and created a ruckus. In the past, we saw Padmavat not releasing in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Looks like the CBFC has cleared the revised version of Pathan. There are some changes but the title remains the same. Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty has come to support Pathan.
Sunil Shetty met Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and said that Boycott is harming the Bollywood hashtag industry. He said the perception of the industry as to the whereabouts of the alleged druggists was wrong. Sunil Shetty said that he was an actor because he had fans all over the country. He asked Yogi Adityanath to request PM Narendra Modi to look into the Boycott Bollywood hashtag trending on social media. He said it is harmful to the industry and affects the economy.
Suniel Shetty appeals Yogiji to stop boycotting Bollywood calls and requests him to talk to PM about this. Didn’t the big stars of Bollywood say that the practice of boycott is useless??
This is the victory of Hindu unity. Do not tolerate insult to your religion. #Boycott_Pathan #BoycottBollywoodTotally

Let the cocky mines do it. Sunil Shetty doesn’t have any film in line anyway. Why does he need to beg on behalf of those arrogant Khan gang?? https://t.co/jGz7KYjpsC

Amitabh Bachchan subtly supported Pathan when he said that freedom of speech and expression is one of the main pillars of our democracy. But not many people from the industry have come forward for Pathan. Looks like Ajay Devgan has also said that Pathan is a good film and the Boycott trend will not affect it much.
