Raksha Bandhan Box Office Day 2 (Opening Trends): Akshay Kumar starrer hit the screens tomorrow i.e. 11th August. On its release day, the film faced box office clashes with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which had an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor. Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya and others. The film has received poor response from critics and audience since its release. Soon after the release dates of both the films were announced, all eyes were on the big fight between the two biggest superstars.

As per the initial trends, it has seen a slight decline in Raksha Bandhan on the second day of its release as well. The film, which is already having a low opening, seems to be struggling at the box office. According to the latest media reports, Akshay Kumar Starr is mined around 5-6 crore, With the latest numbers, the film’s total collection is now 13-14 crore, beginning of raksha bandhan 8.02 crore on the day of its opening.

The opening day collection of Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan was less than his previous film Samrat Prithviraj which emerged as a friend at the box office. It was started under the direction of Chandraprakash Dwivedi. 10.07 crore,

Meanwhile, there are reports that the exhibitors have canceled around 1000 shows of Raksha Bandhan. The latest report states that due to the sluggish first day collections, the cinema owners have decided to reduce the Akshay Kumar starrer Lal Singh Chaddha shows. This morning we also told you that we have seen a big drop in morning show occupancy.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Both the films were released with around 10,000 shows across the country and neither of them guaranteed such performances. The maximum shows occupancy on the opening day is 10. With no shows, the exhibitors decided to reduce the performance of both the films on the second day to save overheads and increase occupancy in limited shows.”
