Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan collected in the range of Rupee. 6 to 6.40 crores Friday, Day 2 which is much less than the orthodox expectation of the Hindi film industry. The film registered a drop of 25% from day one. while for the fall Lal Singh Chaddha was approx. 33%, Raksha Bandhan Managed to prevent a drop of 25% while keeping expectations open for Days 3 and 4. The family theme of the film may ensure steady collections on Saturdays and Sundays.
The start of the second day was average across the board, including the mass centre, although occupancy increased after the afternoon show. It was better in some mass centers like Gujarat, Saurashtra, CI and Rajasthan Lal Singh ChaddhaBut at all other locations across India, the film lagged behind the Aamir Khan starrer.
The best expected weekend for the film was around Rs. 30 crores and build a steady stream of collection from that. Tuesday will prove to be a decisive day for the film at the box office.
