Director Ram Gopal Varma has announced a competition to promote the release of his upcoming action thriller, Ladki.
Taking to Instagram, the director said, Dare to participate in the ‘girl’ contest? If someone answers the question ‘Who is Pooja Bhalekar?’ In the form of a meme, a picture, a short video, a word, a sentence or anything else they can think of, the 20 best selected (entries) will receive from Pooja a signed copy of her picture that addresses the winner . or his name. Contestants can do it either on Twitter or Instagram and Pooja herself will choose the best.
‘girl’ the director Ram Gopal Varma then gave his followers some possible answers to get an idea of the expected reactions.
Ram Gopal Varma said, “Below are some possible answers for you to get an idea… 1. Who is Pooja Bhalekar? She is a rapist’s nightmare; 2. Who is Pooja Bhalekar? Everyone’s imagination; 3 . Who is Pooja Bhalekar? Bruce Lee’s spiritual daughter.”

Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the film is releasing in Tamil as ‘Ponnu’.
Martial arts champion Pooja Bhalekar plays the protagonist in this film, which is slated for a worldwide theatrical release soon.
Speaking at the press meet, director Ram Gopal Varma said, “This film is very challenging and close to my heart. Bruce Lee has been my favorite personality since my college days. I never miss watching his films. Indian film The industry didn’t manage to make a full-length martial arts-based film, which urged me to make them after I started my directorial venture.
“However, my plans got delayed for years due to one reason or the other. I thought of having a female protagonist and making a film based on this martial art. Then began my long search which finally ended with Pooja Bhalekar. I showed a compiled video of his talent to a leading Chinese firm, and he was mesmerized by it. We both decided to produce this film together. The film got delayed due to pandemic issues. ,
“We wanted to release this film in multiple languages at the same time. When Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon was released, I didn’t have the money to buy tickets to a particular theater. I am amazed by the fact that my film is now releasing in the same theatre,” concluded Ram Gopal Varma.
