Rapper Roddy Ricch Arrested On Gun Charges In New York City Before Governor’s Ball Concert

grammy winning rapper roadie rich He was one of three people arrested Saturday night ahead of his scheduled performance at the Governor̵7;s Ball concert at Citi Field in New York City.

Rich, real name Roderick Moore, was riding in a Cadillac Escalade back in 2020 with two other men when they were stopped at a checkpoint operated by private security at 6:20 p.m., hours before the incident began. Police said the guards saw a nine mm gun and a magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition in the vehicle.

Rich, age 23, lives in Los Angeles. Police said he was charged with possession of weapons, large-capacity ammunition feeding devices and illegal feeding devices. New York has all serious charges, punishable by up to 7 years in prison for each count, sentences that can be increased if the person commits a felony.

Police said Carlos Collins, 57, of NJ, and Michael Figueroa, 46, of Brooklyn, also face gun charges.

Rich won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 2020. He was set to perform at the event on Saturday night.
