Bollywood actress Rimi Sen has become the latest victim of fraud. Rimi, whose real name is Shubhamitra Sen, has been allegedly cheated 4.14 rupees Crores by a businessman in Mumbai. Based on her complaint, the Golmaal actress lodged an FIR against the accused at Khar police station on March 29. A complaint was lodged with the police before the FIR.
Rimi Sen has been a part of many Bollywood movies like Ruckus, Golmaal, Phir Hera Pheri, and Baghban among many others. She was also a part of the TV reality show Bigg Boss.
Coming back, Rimi Sen became the talk of the town since yesterday when she got into big trouble. Reportedly, the actress was duped by a businessman on the pretext of investing in a new venture that she met in 2019. The actress filed a police complaint after she was duped by a Goregaon-based businessman who had promised her a hefty return of Rs 30. 30 percent interest on investment of Rs 4.14 crore.
As per her complaint, Rimi Sen revealed that she met an alleged businessman named Raunak Vyas at a gym in Andheri, Mumbai in 2019 and they gradually became friends. Later, the accused lured Rimi with an investment scheme by luring him with a hefty amount. Rimi invested a total of Rs 4.14 crore during the period February 2019 to November 2020.
As quoted in Hindustan Times, a police officer said, “When they became friendly, they approached him and offered 28-30% return if he invested in his new business venture.”
Although later when rimi sen Begging for her money, Vyas started ignoring her calls. After digging deeper, Sen came to know that he had no business with his money and that he had been cheated. After this the actress approached the police and lodged a complaint.
