film producer Sabbir KhanWho gave Tiger Shroff his two big opening hits Heropneet and Rebel In her acting career, she has said that the sequels of these films have lost their audience. He believes that suffrage stems from heropanti And Baaghi didn’t work out as they were not made systematically with the intention of creating a franchise.
“When we initially made films, we didn’t make it as a franchise. They were organic films. For me a sequel is something where you take the story and the characters forward. If you make a completely different story So it’s a different film. It’s just a commercial move to use the title. I wasn’t leaning towards that,” Khan told PTI.
While Tiger’s first film was a remake of Heropanti Allu Arjun2008 movie paruguBaaghi was also a remake Prabhasi‘ 2004 film Varsham. Sabbir, who directed both Heropanti and Baaghi, admitted to not watching the sequel. “I haven’t seen those films (Heropanti and Baaghi sequels). It has lost its audience,” he said. For starters, Baaghi 2, Baaghi 3 and Heropanti 2 have been directed by Ahmed Khan.
Recently, Tiger addressed the box office failure of Heropanti 2 as its total collection stood at Rs 26 crore. “It was definitely heartbreaking. I’m extremely attached to all my films. So if a film doesn’t work out it weighs me down every time. I go back to immerse myself in the work. Must go on,” Tiger had said on the sidelines of IIFA Rocks 2022.
Meanwhile, Sabbir Khan is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Nikamma, which stars Shilpa ShettyAbhimanyu Dasani, Sameer Sonik And Abhimanyu Singh among others. The film will release on June 17.
