Unique: Media veteran Michael A. Simon and Scott Kushner Team formed to launch F Street Productions, a company dedicated to the development and creation of original, cross-platform scripted entertainment. Based in New York and Los Angeles, the company will focus on content that lives at the intersection of story and lifestyle.
F Street is kicking things off with two original podcast, episodic comedy series Silent And the magic was unveiled, which are currently in post-production. Premiere dates will be announced soon. Additional original cross-platform content is expected to be announced shortly.
Silent Inspired by the real life adventures of musician and rock legend Qasim Sultan. In the series, produced and executive produced by Sultan, the fictional Alec Sultan suffers a heart attack on stage and is forced to be reunited with his three adult children, all talented musicians. While children are only well aware that their fathers can be self-destructive and at times incredibly self-absorbed, he is also the scaffolding upon which they have built their strange lives. And when they all eventually decide to form a band and play together â and they will â one thing becomes clear: They may not be a very tight-knit family, but they make for a pretty good f**king band. Huh.
A bassist, keyboardist and vocalist, Sulton has been Todd Rundgren’s bass player at Utopia for decades and has also performed on albums for several top artists of the past decades, including Meat Loaf, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Cheap Trick, Jon Bon Are included. Jovi and Hall & Oates. During his career, Sultan appeared in albums that have sold over 85 million copies worldwide. As a solo artist, his latest album, Qasim 2021, was released by Deco Entertainment in September, 2021.

Kushner and Simon have been friends since they met as undergraduates at George Washington University and discovered their shared passion for comedy and music (the name F Street comes from the hostel where they met). In the following years, they have both gone on to achieve success working with artists and projects in music, television and film.
Kushner is the executive producer of MediaPlace, the NYC-based integrated media and creative services company he founded in 1993. MediaPlace is known as a content creator across all platforms: video, audio and digital, as well as activation for event and immersive experiences.
mediaplace most recently created Dear New York, Brings to life the legend of New York City’s resilience, recovery, and rebirth during the pandemic. The program aired on all NYC-based network television affiliates, featuring Robert Klein as the narrator.
Kushner began his professional career with network radio syndicators DIR Broadcasting, LBS Communications and ABC Radio Network. During his tenure, he was actively involved in productions with musical artists such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Hall & Oates and Eric Clapton. He has worked on several specials including Live Aid and The Who Farewell Tour.
Prior to launching MediaPlace, Kushner was a founding member and vice president of point-of-purchase radio. The company was later acquired by Heritage Media.
Since 2001, Kushner has worked for the media industry philanthropic organization The John A. Reisenbach has served on the board for the Foundation, currently serving as co-chair of the organization’s program committee.
Currently, Simon is in pre-production on his first narrative feature film. prisoner of time, based on documentary Town Bloody Hall. The film weaves a story about a father and his daughter, Norman Mailer, about Marilyn Monroe and the #MeTooMovement.
During his last eleven-year career at VH1, Simon produced and directed the series New Vision, VH1 Storyteller and prestigious vh1 day. On VH1 he worked with music legends including Miles Davis, Prince, David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Prince.
Simon left MTV Networks to continue his work as a freelance director, where he co-hosted a number of specials and series, including soul train, 25 live Survivor 22 Years Finalist of the Emmy-winning A Home for the Holidays and William Shatner’s memorable Priceline.com commercial series. Other credits include Bee Gees One Night Only hbo concert special, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Rockstar, The Sing-Off and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, The Contenders, even more.
A prolific director of comedy, Simon. directed 25 seasons of ridicules, along with several spinoffs, and several comedy specials, including the highest-rated Comedy Central stand-up special of all time with Jeff Dunham and the award-winning Gad Elmaleh: The American Dream on netflix.
