Mrunal Thakur, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2018 film Love Sonia, starred opposite Dulquer Salmaan in her recent successful Telugu film Seetha Ramam. The film was released a few weeks back amid calls to boycott Bollywood films.
Mrunal started her acting career in TV with Mujhse Kuch Kehta Hai… in 2012 with Yeh Khamoshiyan. He then acted in the daily soap Kumkum Bhagya. After this he stepped on the big screen with the Marathi film Vitti Dandu.

It is the subject of so much debate. I am really happy to be a part of this ‘Indian’ film, the fact that I have been selected to play the role of Sita. Today What works is the content, the audience wants to see the food in action, nothing monotonous. I have been a part of both Hindi and South films. I completely understand what you offer to the audience. Must be versatile and authentic, and it just happens.”
Sita Ramami The actor was also asked whether she thought it appropriate to call for boycott of Bollywood films as lakhs of people earning her livelihood are associated with the film industry. She replies, “Let me just keep up the good work, people will come and see. I believe in good work. There is a quote that says keep up the good work, the job of the people. I don’t know about the others, but whatever I am, because this is my audience. Thank you for being honest. People should see the movie, if you like it, you like it, if you don’t like it, it doesn’t matter.
