Actress Smita Singh, who was last seen in the TV show ‘Tera Kya Hoga Alia’ in 2020, revealed the reason behind not taking up any projects in 2021.

She says: “I was in my hometown Lucknow to be with my parents, and we tested positive for Covid-19. My parents were under stress because of what was happening around us. We also lost some family members to the virus. So, 2020 was family time for me. My parents will always be my priority and I will make sure to be around whenever they need me. So, even after being approached for some good projects last year, I could not sign them.”

Smita Singh has been a part of shows like ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ and ‘Woh Rahe Wali Mahal Ki’.

Smita Singh is back in Mumbai and is looking forward to resume work. “I am passionate about acting. I love being on sets and facing the camera. I am back in Mumbai and looking forward to starting work again. Whenever I get a good project, I hand it over.” I will. As an actor, I am looking forward to do more challenging and promising roles. I also want to explore digital platforms and Bollywood projects.”
