The pair were self-deprecating and at one point compared themselves to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with Short delivering the punchline that he’s like them because “nobody’s rooting for us, but you’re going to watch anyway.” Will tune in for.”
Short joked about the cast members loving Martin, saying that behind his back they were calling him “a hole entertainer”.
“Sweet,” Martin said before briefly clarifying, “Well, I added the word entertainer.”
Martin and Short then prepared a eulogy for each other and in the process roasted each other with dances and swipes, causing the audience to laugh out loud.
“So Marty, I dedicate this eulogy to you,” Martin began. “Wow, not much turnout. Marty didn’t want to be cremated – it was too late. But I’ll always be haunted by Marty’s last words, ‘Tesla auto-pilot engage!'”
Short then added, “There are so many good things I could say about Steve Martin but this hardly seems to be the time and place… I know Steve is looking down on us as he looks down on everyone else.” “
Martin, after more sarcasm at each other, said, “Now that Marty’s gone, who am I going to work with?”
only then only murders in the building co-star Selena Gomez Crashed the monologue and said, “What about me?” Gomez came onto the scene and embraced Martin as the audience erupted in excitement.
