Zarina Wahab is the most relieved and grateful mother in the universe at the moment. His son Sooraj was acquitted on April 28 of all kidnapping charges related to the tragic death of actress Jiah Khan nearly ten years ago.

“The smile is back on my son’s face. We feel like a normal family again. Otherwise, we tolerated all the lies for ten years in the belief that justice would eventually prevail and it did! But what about all the moms whose sons have shut down after a failed relationship? My heart reaches out to them. No mother should have to suffer like me,” says Zareena, who now wants to enjoy the family’s freedom from the menace looming over Suraj’s head.
“It is not possible for a family to lead a normal life when their child is under trial for no fault of theirs. What crime did my son commit that he had to face ten years of imprisonment? We just want to be alone. We want to feel like a normal family after ten years.”
A brilliant cook, Zarina loves cooking for family and guests. She now wants to cook her son’s favorite dishes. “He hasn’t eaten properly for ten years. He will now live his life again.
