SS Rajamouli is currently one of India’s foremost directors as many believe that he can give a tough competition to western filmmakers with his filming style. His last release RRR is still receiving praises and the director is falling in love with all the accolades. Rajamouli’s previous release was a huge hit as it collected more 1000 crores at the box office. Apart from the Indian audience, the film received an overwhelming response from the international audience and filmmakers as well. Jr NTR in the movie, Ram CharanWith Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran in cameo roles.
Meanwhile, after witnessing the stupendous success of RRR on Netflix, the OTT giant is now in talks with SS Rajamouli for original content, as per reports in Telugu Cinema. Yes! You read it right Earlier, the filmmaker was supposed to make a Baahubali spin-off for the digital platform, but the deal was scrapped as they were not satisfied with the result.
Soon things turned sour between SS Rajamouli and Netflix but it was RRR that changed the mind of the OTT giant and now they want the filmmaker to create new content for them. Currently, it is not certain whether they will bring back the animated project of Baahubali or not, but whatever it is, it will surely break big records.
After the success of Jr NTR and Ram Charan, it seems the filmmakers have moved on to focus on their next project. Mahesh Babu, Possibly titled, SSMB29, the film is expected to take over 3 years to make and Rajamouli’s father, KV Vijayendra Prasad is said to be exploring the idea of making an African jungle adventure.
