Stranger Things on Netflix has seen a journey that is unique and surprising. A show so complex managed to attract viewers and hook it for 4 long seasons and multiple lockdowns imposed by the pandemic. Season 4 turned out to be one of the most anticipated things on earth and was in the making for 2 years. While the new season is still making noise and viewers are already looking forward to Volume 2, the Duffer Brothers have now made a shocking revelation and it stars Joe Keery.
For the unversed, Joe Keery played Steve Harrington in Stranger Things. His character is one of the most transformed and has an interesting story. He started out as a school bully, majorly bullying Jonathan Byers, played by Charlie Heaton. In no time he found himself facing the Demogorgon and had a change of heart. He became the babysitter of a gang he despised.
Now, that you have seen his arc grow so well, imagine if we tell you that the makers had planned to kill him in season 1 itself? Well, we’re not making it up but Stranger Things creators Duffer Brothers have revealed that detail themselves. Read on to find out everything you need to know about this surprising update of the day.
As ScreenRant reports, the Duffer Brothers have revealed their former plans to kill Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington in Season 1 in the latest interview. The duo credits Joe for helping shape the character well.
The creators of The Stranger Things said, “When he comes back and fights the Demogorgon, he was supposed to be Jonathan’s father… you’re learning what works and what doesn’t. Throw Influencing where you take fiction, other writers and directors… it’s the living thing.”
Meanwhile, the makers are now preparing to release Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 on July 1, 2022. Stay tuned to Koimoi for more information. Also read our Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 review Here,
