Speaking to NME, Taika Waititi explained how she is the one who owns Kate Bush’s real ship, not the Stranger Things kids. “You mean how did they ruin Kate Bush? I love that show, but as someone who feels real ownership of Kate Bush music… I’m really pissed! I’ve become one of those old ars*holes who’s like: ‘These kids never listened to Kate Bush, they heard a song on a TV show! They don’t know Kate Bush! I know Kate Bush!'” Taika said.
Taika Waititi revealed that Thor: Love and Thunder had a set of songs by Kate Bush, but plans were scrapped after Stranger Things Season 4 revealed her. He said, “Love and Thunder” had a bunch of Kate Bush songs that I wanted. We were going to have ‘This Woman Work,’ which was going to be great for [a scene with] Natalie Portman’s character. ,
