Sumona Chakravarti shares her Vipassana experience, calls it the 'toughest 10 days' of her life

Sumona Chakravarti spent the ̵6;most challenging’ but deepest days of her life at a Vipassana center when she enrolled for a 10-day course. The actress was so moved by the experience that she took to Instagram to encourage others to try it at least once in their lives. Recently Sumona had announced that she would stay away from social media. However, no reason was mentioned in the announcement.

Sumona did a 10-day Vipassana course.

On Monday (July 24), Sumona posted a long note explaining her absence. Sumona enrolled in a 10-day Vipassana training to ‘disconnect’ from everything and ‘recharge’ herself. Initially, the actress said she was ‘searching for pure mental detox’. She writes, “I enrolled in a Vipassana course for the first time for 10 days. Trust me, these ten days were the most difficult days of my life. Despite everything, it was the most beautiful and wonderful. Life changing experience.”

Everyone is requested to try this course at least once.

Urging everyone to try the course at least once in their life, the actress wrote, “The beauty of Vipassana is its non-sectarian nature. It doesn’t matter what country, religion, community, caste, tribe, sect you belong to, or any kind of creed or belief you have. Here, you don’t need to make any sacrifices. You can practice Vipassana as long as you are human and breathe. It is pure mind-physiology. It aims to -oriented. It is a cleansing of the psyche. Most importantly, it is at the level of experience.”

Sumona felt different after taking the Vipassana course.

Sumona further added, “We always struggle with negative emotions for one reason or the other in our lives, suffer and sometimes suffer. So here is a tool that I, along with millions of people around the world, have discovered and used that will help with everything. So why not try it just once? After 10 days, you can decide whether to take it into your life or not. It’s entirely up to you.”
